Edmond Park

Edmond Park received his BA from the Corcoran School of Art, Washington DC. The Student League of Art (1981-1982). Studied under John Osborne at the Ridgewood Art Institute, NJ from 1985-2009. Edmond's main focus is landscape and still life, he has such a soft touch to his oils - depleting the Old Master's Style.

Jeff Montagne

Jeff Montagne, was born in Mountain View, CA. As a child he lived in several places due to his parents being in the military. In 1994 he moved to Sacramento, where he resides with his four daughters.

What is challenging for Jeff is that he has no formal education/training in Art. He is self-taught, achieving most of his education by reading several books on Art. He has developed is own style by using different techniques and methods. He embraces the challenge of each new project. Jeff has a passion for wildlife, landscape and seascape. With these themes is the natural beauty and realism of nature.

Since his first exhibition in 2008 at Artistic Edge he has had several 2nd Saturday events and he has been commissioned to do several pieces including two murals.

Jim Marxen

Painting is what I do and I really can't explain it or explain why. I like to put paint on things. I can't help myself. Many artists can cite influences or mentors. I didn't have any. I respect anyone who's tried to paint. I may not like the painting, but I respect that someone had the passion and desire to paint.

I incorporate aspects of styles from other artists, but even then I adapt and change it to create my own style. With little formal training, all I can do is absorb from others and learn through trial and error. It's taken a long time for me to be comfortable enough to show my work. I'm not completely happy with it, just comfortable. Maybe I never will be happy with my paintings, but as the saying goes, it's the journey that counts.
