This Month's Artist: Kathie Lambert

“Neighborhood and Friends” Exhibition by Kathie Lambert “Once Upon A Time” . . . and I was too young to remember when, they say I picked up a pencil and started to draw pictures--and to envision pictures and see the world around me in terms of pictures. Art is an addiction for me. There are so many interesting visions in a life-time--some, worthy of being captured on canvas and remembered. A facial expression, the fall of a shadow, the light in someone’s eyes, the unexpected colors that give full-bodied richness to scenes of Mother Nature. This is the fortunate way I see my world. There is beauty everywhere. Painting allows me to let you see something the way I see it. The painting may evoke different meanings or remembrances to each of us, but for a moment, we share looking at something, together. Currently, I’m working on the series on display at Artistic Edge Gallery, that focuses on the beauty of people’s homes, how they reflect themselves in their homes, and creating a meaningful memento. Some have been sold to the home-owners, but graciously returned for this October exhibit .
