As you can see from my art, my greatest motivation for subject matter comes from the outdoors. Living in beautiful Northern California in Redding is the perfect place for what I do. I go with my husband when he fishes so I can hike and take photos of the lakes, streams, and surrounding landscapes. I also hike with friends in many wonderful locations in our north state. I always take my camers so I can try and capture what I see to turn it into a painting.
I love working with pastels. The chromatic brilliance, versatility, and permanence of pastel makes it a perfect medium. They produce multi-layered effects which help create the light, form, and life of the painting. I also love the direct application of it to paper--forget the brush. The hand feels so good when it is immersed in pastel and the painting process. With my paintings I strive to give the viewer a complete sensory experience of place, season, and time of day. My representation is my way of saying "You should have seen what I saw."

Josh Edwards

Ever since Josh Edwards took his first trip to London, England, all he has wanted to do was see the rest of the world. In pursuit of this goal he has been to 7 different countries helping people along the way. He has made it a goal to make sure that he gives back to the places that he goes. The most resent country that Josh has made a stop in was Northern Ireland. Josh Lived there for a year helping with Youth, young Adults, the Elderly, the poor and anyone else along the way. This is where Josh’s passion for Photography was birthed. With the beauty of the Landscape he could not help but take some shot and well the rest is history.
