Teferi Wubte: The journey of a thousand miles begins with not only a step but most importantly planning, determination and focus. Having gone this far, had been the encouragement of people who had made it and those on their way to making it. Since no writer writes alone and no speaker speaks alone that has been why this work should be dedicated to progressive minds. Whose unending love and support has been my footrest. Art to me is a way of life which I embraced with out stress. This is because it stemmed from my families lineage. However, I do not choose it as a carrier due to its name but its importance in nature. Being one who appreciates creation in its natural state. Having said this, you have to have that determination and empowerment to really explore yourself by yourself. Way back in my country (Ethiopia) I received a college education in fine art. I also worked for coca-cola company and was featured in many art exhibitions. In the US, I have received my AA degree in Arts. In 2006 & 2007 I participated in an art exhibition at American River College - for which one of my art works was selected and printed on the 2007 school book.
