Exhibition by Terri Prall & Allie Bergman
Terri Prall: As I have traveled through the country, I have seen, observed and listened. My senses have been open, and I found my voice to share my perspective in my drawings and paintings. My art has been my self expression brought on by the inspirations all around me. My heart sings when I can touch others with my art in the way the world has touched me.
Allie lives in Grass Valley, California; she has taught silk painting classes in California and Oregon and is a member of Silk Painters International. In addition she operated a successful silk clothing and accessories business and created her own line of silk greeting cards. Through Allie’s art she delivers messages of healing. These messages come through in abstract designs and striking colors that draw the viewer of her art into that quiet center where all is well and in balance. Whether she’s working with watercolors on silk or acrylics on canvas, she begins each piece with a focus on the healing message. The titles of Allie’s work come from her love of flowers, the four seasons and the myriad of colors and beauty found in nature. Lavender Lily, a water color on silk, invites the viewer to breathe in the healing aroma of lavender, the grace and beauty of the orange lily, and the calming greens of nature.
