Intention – to develop your own style, and augment your understanding of perspective, colors, and composition. At the end of five weeks, you will have painted your own art on canvas.
Instructor/Artist: Kathie Lambert, I was too young to remember when, they say I picked up a pencil and started to draw pictures--and to envision pictures and see the world around me in terms of pictures. Art is an addiction for me. There are so many interesting visions in a life-time--some, worthy of being captured on canvas and remembered. A facial expression, the fall of a shadow, the light in someone's eyes, the unexpected colors that gives full-bodied richness to scenes of Mother Nature. This is the fortunate way I see my world. There is beauty everywhere. Painting allows me to let you see something the way I see it. The painting may evoke different meanings or remembrances to each of us, but for a moment, we share looking at something, together.

Oil Painting is a wonderful way to express ones artist within. This class will focus on creating a miniature landscape (2x3). This class is designed for the intermediate artist so that we can get right to work and you will have a finished piece at the end of class. Bring your own paints/brushes with you
Artist/Instructor: Robert Schad has been painting for over 40 years. His paintings hang all across the United States as well as Canada and Europe.

"Communicating with Cartoons"

In this a fun and fast paced class! Great for children and Adults alike. We will spend a bit of time reviewing the great cartoons of world history up to our present day journals. We will then bring forward from ourselves our own cartoon strips filled with characters and situations of our choosing. We will learn the intricacies of dialog, placement of figures and the flow of both story and illustration. In the end we will all have our own strip ready to continue forward with for the remainder of our
lives!
Instructor/Artist: Michael Bookout began creating cartoons in the early 70's and studied
with Mr. Walt Sorenson (retired) the chief cartoon editor of Walt Disney World for five years. Michael now feeds twelve of his own cartoon strips which contain as many as 300 individual characters which he self publishes on his own web-site.

"The Art of Watercolor on Silk"

This class is designed for all skill levels. You will create 2-3 works of art on silk using a variety of watercolor techniques. The paintings you will create make great gifts, as well as original art to hang in your own home. You need not have any prior experience with painting or watercolor to enjoy and create some beautiful art.
Instructor/Artist: Allie Bergman was featured as an Artist of the Month in 2009 at Artistic Edge and has been creating art on silk for a number of years. She has taught silk painting classes in Oregon and California and is a member of Silk Painters International.

"Portrait in Pastel"

Ages: 14 and Up
This is a great class to have fun drawing your favorite family member, friend or movie star. Bring with you a photo of the person you want to draw. You will learn to exaggerate and emphasize the body parts for a fun and delighting portrait. You will of course also learn the basics of working with pastels as your medium.
Instructor/Artist: Michael Bookout is a master portrait artist who sketches portraits at parties and conventions in the state of California. Michael also commissions out for private sittings in pastel and oil on canvas.
